Year Level Coordinator Reports
Year 12 Report
Our Year 12 students have been showcasing incredible enthusiasm and teamwork recently. The Home Group competitions have been a highlight, with students displaying remarkable spirit and dedication. These friendly contests have not only fostered collaboration but also boosted school morale as everyone worked together towards a common goal.
Our Swim Carnival saw outstanding engagement, with many Year 12s leading by example and contributing to an exciting atmosphere. The energy and sportsmanship were truly inspiring, and it was great to see so many students actively participating.
As the completion of IA1 (Internal Assessment 1) draws near, we are seeing a marked shift in the maturity and confidence of our students. They are demonstrating strong focus, managing their time effectively, and approaching their studies with a level of responsibility that reflects their growing academic maturity. We couldn’t be more proud of their progress! Keep it up, Year 12!

Year 11 Report
Greetings year 11s and families! The first 4 weeks have flown by and we will soon find ourselves at the half way point of Term 1. Students will soon find that assessment is looming and the pressure is ramping up, so time management becomes increasingly important. Students are encouraged to start on drafts well ahead of time and to take advantage of the feedback provided by their teachers. Understanding how to address specific aspects of assessment tasks will lead to better results, so encourage your student to ask questions and clarify concepts with their teachers in class. A quiet, organised space at home that students can access to study, as well as a regular study routine will help them to stay on top of what is a very busy period for them.
Senior jacket ordering has now closed, and final payments are due to the finance office by the 26th of February. We will then place our order with our supplier and look forward to jackets arriving in time for the cooler weather. Please ensure students continue to wear formal white shirts on Tuesday and jewellery is kept to a minimum. Our Year 11s continue to impress with their enthusiastic attitudes and work ethic, with a number of classroom teachers reaching out to me to comment on how well the Class of 2026 have started their senior journey. However, greatness is achieved through consistency, so the challenge of continuing to impress throughout the year awaits. I know they will step up to the job.
As always, I’m here to support our students and their families with any concerns. Please reach out via email at jboul14@eq.edu.au or via phone on 5472 2217. I look forward to continuing to share the success of the Class of 2026.

Year 10 Report
As we approach the half-way mark in Term 1, many of the Year 10 students are truly stepping up to the challenge of achieving their personal best. We are seeing excellent commitment to learning and an increased level of maturity across the Year Level and so many are proving to be responsible and respectful young people.
We have a growing number of students who have thought carefully about their pathway plans and have taken the opportunity to embark upon a School-Based Traineeship or a Certificate II in areas such as Leather Production or Small Motors. This is such an important time in the education journey with regard to pathways as it is the point at which planning for the future begins to evolve. One size doesn’t fit all and it is important that students recognise what works for them and what will allow them to be successful members of society in their adult lives.
I must remind everyone of the need to wear a white shirt on Tuesdays and that jewellery must be discreet at all times. The mobile phone rule exists across the state and at Noosa District, we have a straightforward process for breach of the rule. Students are reminded of these rules in parades and it is most helpful if as parents and carers you can support us by reinforcing the expectations at home.
As always, please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about pathways, uniform and other school rules.

Year 9 Report
It is pleasing to see how the Year 9 cohort have settled into their new learning environment and are applying themselves to their classes and the numerous activities offered at the Cooroy campus.
As mentioned last newsletter, I am encouraging year 9s to focus on correct uniform, especially in regards to jewellery and maintaining excellence in class and school attendance. These are the foundations to ensuring students look the part and maximise their learning time at school.
When take pride in what we do, we develop an appreciation of the opportunities that come our way and we learn to understand each other better. This benefits students in both academic and wellbeing success.
Students are reminded and encouraged to maintain these standards each Monday on parade.
