Hello school community and staff,
We’ve officially reached the halfway point of Term 1, and what an exciting start it’s been! This term has already been filled with wonderful opportunities, and there are still many more to come. In Week 3, we kicked off our 2025 Swimming Carnival on Friday, bursting with vibrant colours and endless cheer. It was fantastic to see such strong participation, and we can’t wait to find out which house will emerge as the winner. Another exciting development for our school is the ongoing renovation of the hall bathrooms. The much-needed updates will improve functionality to this key area of the school. We’re thrilled about this upgrade and look forward to the positive impact it will have on our school community.
Additionally, on Thursday, March 6th, we will be hosting Step Up to Clean Up – an event aimed at promoting a cleaner and more sustainable environment. This initiative encourages students and staff to come together to help tidy up our school grounds. The event will kick off bright and early at 7 a.m., and participants will be treated to a delicious, free breakfast afterward as a thank you for their hard work. By joining in, you’ll not only be helping keep our school looking its best, but you’ll also be contributing to a cleaner, healthier environment for everyone. It's a fun and rewarding way to make a positive impact, and we hope to see many of you there as we step up to clean up our school
Furthermore, starting in Week 8, we will be hosting Shave for a Cure in the hall – a powerful event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for cancer research. Cancer affects millions of people worldwide, with thousands of new diagnoses each year, making initiatives like this more important than ever. The funds raised through this event will be donated directly to the Leukaemia Foundation, supporting their vital research, treatments, and programs that aim to improve the lives of those affected by blood cancers. We invite everyone to get involved and show their support by either shaving their head or colouring their hair. Whether you choose to participate or simply come down to cheer on others, your support will make a real difference in the fight against cancer.
As we look ahead, we are excited for all the events and activities that the rest of 2025 has in store. We encourage each of you to stay engaged, continue to show your school spirit, and make the most of every moment. On behalf of the Student Council, we want to wish you all an incredible rest of the term.
