Farewell to a School Legend: Sue Robertson’s 20 Years of Dedication
For two decades, Sue Robertson has been an integral part of the Noosa District State High School (NDSHS) community, serving as the heart of the tuckshop, the backbone of the uniform shop, and the driving force behind countless P&C initiatives. Now, as Sue embarks on a well-earned new chapter, the school community reflects on her invaluable contributions and lasting legacy.
Sue’s journey at NDSHS began in 2005 as a volunteer, leading to her employment with the P&C in 2006. Since then, she has dedicated herself to improving the school environment, ensuring students and staff were well-fed and well-supported. Whether serving up meals with a warm smile or ensuring families had access to quality uniforms, Sue’s presence has been a source of care and kindness.
As the P&C operations manager, Sue played a pivotal role in enhancing school facilities and projects. Under her guidance, the P&C has provided vital support, funding initiatives that directly benefited students and staff. Her commitment to the school’s success has been unwavering, and her impact immeasurable.
Reflecting on her time at NDSHS, Sue shares, “I have greatly valued my time at NDSHS, especially engaging with the students. It has been incredibly rewarding to see them grow from Year 7 to Year 12. The support and camaraderie of the staff have meant a great deal to me, and I am grateful for the friendships I have formed.”
Sue’s dedication was never just about the roles she filled but the relationships she built and the positive impact she had on those around her. Students and staff alike have been touched by her generosity and care.
Sue’s departure marks the end of an era, but her contributions will be remembered. The NDSHS community is deeply grateful for her service, and while she will no longer be at the helm of tuckshop operations, her legacy will continue to inspire.
On behalf of the entire NDSHS family, we thank Sue Robertson and wish her all the best in her next adventure. Sue’s dedication and hard work have left an indelible mark on our school, and she will always be a cherished part of the NDSHS story.
P&C News
The P&C are looking for some talented special people to jump on board and help out with making our P&C and school great for our local students. If you think any of the lists on these posters suit the type of person you are and your skills please get in touch with our president Kelli Saunderson.
The P&C is responsible for the supporting the school providing our School Canteen at both Pomona and Cooroy campuses and supply of school uniforms including the Uniform Shop with all profits being directed back to support the school as a whole. Previously the P&C have generously donated these funds towards the purchase of toilet block facilities at Mimburi, Toyota HiAce 12-seater mini bus and air-conditioning at Cooroy and Pomona Campuses. Your P&C Association is comprised of a small number of parents who choose to contribute two hours a meeting to benefit the students at Noosa District State High School. The more people involved the merrier, all parents are welcome, and encouraged, to attend.

Join Our P&C Team as Treasurer!
Our fresh new PNC committee is ready to make great things happen for our Cooroy and Pomona campuses—now we just need a Treasurer to complete the team!
This is a volunteer role, but don’t worry—you won’t be doing it alone! We have a paid bookkeeper to assist, making the job much easier. If you have basic financial skills and a passion for supporting our school community, we’d love to hear from you.
Interested? Reach out to PandCPresident@noosadistrictshs.eq.edu.au and help us make a difference!
Volunteering
If you are interested in supporting the school through the P&C as a volunteer including the NEW “Work for the Dole” option with centrelink and Services Australia, email PandCSecretary@noosadistrictshs.eq.edu.au to discuss Blue Card and training aspects required.
Our Tuckshop and uniform shop also welcome volunteers. The Pomona Campus is urgently requiring anyone who may be able to give up 1/2 hour a day to help serve students. All volunteers need to have a Blue Card which is free to apply for online and to be fully vaccinated.
