ANZAC Day

On April 25, 2025, students from Noosa District State High School (NDSHS) proudly participated in ANZAC Day services across the Sunshine Coast hinterland, including Cooroy, Tewantin, and Eumundi. Their involvement underscored the school's commitment to community engagement and honouring Australia's servicemen and women.

Honouring Tradition in Cooroy

In Cooroy, NDSHS students joined the dawn service and subsequent march, paying tribute to the ANZAC legacy. The school's presence at these events reflects its ongoing dedication to community involvement and remembrance.

Leading the Way in Tewantin

At Tewantin, students assembled for the dawn service at the Tewantin War Memorial at 5:30 AM. The main parade commenced at 9:00 AM, with students marching alongside veterans and community members, culminating in a commemorative service at 9:30 AM.

Reflecting in Eumundi

In Eumundi, NDSHS students participated in the local ANZAC Day ceremony, joining residents in honouring the sacrifices of Australia's servicemen and women. Their involvement in these services highlights the school's commitment to fostering a sense of community and remembrance among its students

A Legacy of Community Engagement

Noosa District State High School's participation in ANZAC Day services is part of a longstanding tradition of community involvement. The school's engagement in these commemorations reflects its dedication to instilling values of respect, remembrance, and civic responsibility in its students.

As the community gathered to honour the ANZAC legacy, NDSHS students stood as a testament to the enduring spirit of remembrance and the importance of educating future generations about Australia's history and values.
