From the Deputies’ Desks
Over the course of term 1, the School gathered student, staff, parent and community feedback regarding our current support programs in Senior School. This was a great way to check the current needs of our young people as they progress through the final stages of their learning and prepare for the next step post-school. From the feedback some key themes rose across the groups. There was a clear voice to provide curriculum tutorials with specialist teachers, life skill lessons, support preparing for life outside of school, and job readiness. The School has listened to this feedback and are rolling out a refined and engaging tutorial program for all Year 11s currently. This feedback has also been the springboard to the creation of the Senior Summit Program for 2026.
Senior Summit 2026
All Senior students, along with their curriculum classes, engage in a tutorial program twice a week. This course provides academic, wellbeing and career pathway support to ensure every student is succeeding. The course is led by a mentor teacher aligned to their chosen English and Maths speciality areas. As well as this course, current Year 10 students who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the Senior Summit Program in 2026.
The Senior Summit Class is focused on providing a tailored mentorship program for our high achieving students heading towards a university pathway.
