Principal’s Perspective
Welcome to our final newsletter of what has been an outstanding term at Noosa High.
As we approach the final stages, I wish students all the best as they close out semester assessments contributing to end of semester reports which are planned to be sent home via email in the first week of Term 3.
Celebrating Success
- Junior Secondary Showcase was an excellent success 27th May at Pomona Campus. The afternoon was very well attended by current and future families and the staff did a fantastic job showcasing what we do best. Thanks to all involved, we have a lot to be proud of with our unique and specialised Junior Secondary transitions practices and it was special to meet so many Year 5 and 6 students getting excited about High School. Next week we welcome all our Primary School Year 6 students to Pomona Campus for transition day which we are also very excited about.
- Sleep Rough: Congratulations to our student leaders and interact club in partnership with Rotary Cooroy who organised the Sleep Rough fundraiser and sleep out last Friday night. Our students and staff braved the cold at our Mimburi campus and raised a significant amount for the Backpack Beds initiative which provides portable beds for those without shelter. This has grown to be part of our tradition at Noosa High and is a wonderful cause. Well done to all involved
- Cattle team success: Well done to our cattle team who have had a great season so far. Our students and cattle are doing themselves and the school proud, most impressively with their recent suite of awards that reflect their incredible skills in animal preparation, team work and presentation. Well done!
Athletics Carnival
We look forward to ending the term on a high at our athletics carnival Friday 27th June. Eewah is well placed for champion house after winning the cross country and swimming earlier in the year. Could this really be the year of Eewah…16 years in the making to have success? Good luck to all of our students in what will be a great way to end the term.
