As Term Two draws to a close, it's a perfect time to reflect on the many highlights we've experienced—and to look ahead with excitement at all the great things still to come.

In recent events, we proudly held our annual ‘Sleep Rough’ fundraiser last Friday.
This meaningful initiative raises funds to provide backpack beds for people experiencing homelessness. Despite the freezing temperatures, it was heart-warming to see such a strong turnout, with everyone coming together in solidarity and supporting an important cause. The night was a powerful reminder of the challenges faced by those sleeping rough every day, and the impact we can make when we act with compassion and community spirit. Seeing such a strong turnout was heart-warming.

Additionally, our senior students have just celebrated a major milestone— their final 100 days of school! This special occasion marks the beginning of the countdown to graduation and was filled with laughter, memories, and a sense of excitement for the journey ahead. It’s a bittersweet reminder of how far they’ve come and all that still lies ahead in their final months.

Looking forward to what’s still to come, our annual Athletics Carnival is just around the corner, and excitement is building! It’s a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their skills, cheer on their friends, and enjoy a day filled with team spirit and healthy competition. Whether you're running, jumping, or supporting from the sidelines, it’s sure to be a fun and memorable event for all. There will be lots of snacks and a delicious sausage sizzle, so make sure to dress up in your house colours and get involved in the day.

Finally, this year’s production of Willy Wonka is fast approaching, with the highly anticipated showcase set to begin next term. Students have been working hard behind the scenes—rehearsing lines, perfecting choreography, and bringing the magical world of Wonka’s chocolate factory to life. From colourful costumes to catchy musical numbers, this production promises to be a delightful and entertaining experience for all. Be sure to mark your calendars and come along to support the incredible talent and effort of everyone involved!

On behalf of the student council, we hope you look forward to the last two weeks of term and enjoy the holiday break.
