Principal’s Perspective
ur Commitment to Excellence
At Noosa District SHS, our Improvement Agenda remains focused on ensuring every student succeeds through excellence in curriculum, teaching, and learning. This commitment drives our daily work in every classroom. Central to this is the strong partnership between school and families, and the careful planning of pathways for each child. We foster a culture of high expectations, supported by aspiration and continuous improvement—no matter what. Thank you for your ongoing support, especially in upholding our core expectations of Active Learning, Respect, and Responsibility. These values shape our positive school culture and begin with consistent attendance, pride in our uniform, and a commitment to learning every day.
Celebrating Academic Success
Student progress and commitment to ongoing improvement is supported this term through our Semester reports for Years 7-12. We have some excellent results from semester 1 that include significant gains in A and B academic results as well as some very positive behaviour results.
Over 100 students will receive commendation letters for academic excellence, and those achieving a GPA in the 95th percentile will be honoured at our upcoming Academic Morning Tea with the Principal. Congratulations to all students for your hard work and achievements!
Campus Life and Engagement
Both campuses are buzzing with lunchtime activities and a packed academic and extra-curricular calendar for Term 3. We encourage all students to get involved and make the most of their high school experience. Stay connected through our Facebook page for regular updates and celebrations.
School Opinion Survey
We’re proud of the progress at Noosa High and always strive to improve. The School Opinion Survey is a valuable opportunity to share what you’re most proud of and suggest areas for growth. This year, we’ve focused on enhancing learning outcomes through assessment exemplars and feedback, and ensuring consistent behavioural practices across the school. These efforts have led to strong student engagement and high standards of discipline.
Please take a moment to complete the survey during the official administration period: 28 July – 22 August 2025. Your feedback is highly valued and helps us continue to grow.
In the meantime, we welcome your input via our 2025 Positive Gossip Parents and Community Survey 2025 Semester 1 Parent and Community Survey
or by contacting our admin team directly – we are here to help.
Class of 2025 – Final Semester
Our Year 12 students are an exceptional group who contribute positively to our school and community every day. Their values, sense of service, and commitment to making a difference are truly inspiring. As they enter their final semester, we stand behind them with pride and support.
We’re excited to celebrate their journey at the Senior Formal on Thursday, 18 September, held locally. We invite the entire school community to line Tulip Street and send off these remarkable young people in style. Please save the date!
Student Leadership 2026
This term marks the beginning of our selection process for the 2026 Senior Executive Student Leaders. Our leaders play a vital role in shaping student voice and culture, and we’re confident that the next group will build on the legacy of excellence. The future of Noosa High is in great hands.
Pathways and Careers Expo – Launching 2026 Subject Selection
Next week, we’re excited to host our Pathways and Careers Expo, a key event in launching our new subject selection and pathways information for 2026. This expo is designed to support students and families in making informed decisions about future study and career options. With representatives from universities, TAFE, industry, and training providers, students will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of possibilities and ask questions about their next steps. We encourage all families to attend and engage with the resources available, as this marks an important milestone in planning for success beyond school. Subject selection information for 2026 will also be released at this event, helping students align their choices with their goals and aspirations.
Musical Production – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
