Enrolments Open for 2026 at Noosa District SHS – Pomona Campus
Families are invited to apply now for the 2026 Junior Secondary Academy Programs at Noosa District State High School – Pomona Campus, with applications closing soon. These specialised academies offer students the opportunity to learn in an enriched and future-focused environment tailored to their interests and strengths.
Noosa District SHS continues to lead the way in providing innovative and dynamic learning experiences through its diverse range of academy pathways. The 2026 offerings include five distinct Junior Secondary Academy Programs, each designed to extend and inspire students in meaningful and relevant ways:
Athletes Academy
Ideal for students with a passion for sport and fitness, the Athletes Academy supports physical development alongside academic achievement. Students will engage in programs that build strength, stamina, teamwork and sports leadership — preparing them for future success both on and off the field.
Visual Arts Academy
Creative thinkers and aspiring artists will thrive in the Visual Arts Academy, which focuses on developing technical and conceptual skills in media, design and visual expression. With access to specialist facilities and industry-relevant tools, students are empowered to tell their stories and explore artistic pathways.
Performing Arts Academy
Designed for students who love to perform, this academy offers extended opportunities in drama, dance, and music. Students will take part in performance-based projects and develop their confidence, collaboration skills, and artistic expression in a supportive, creative environment.
STEM/Innovation Academy
Future innovators will find their place in the STEM/Innovation Academy. Students will engage with hands-on learning in robotics, coding, 3D printing, engineering design and problem solving. This academy nurtures critical thinking and curiosity, building a strong foundation for success in STEM careers.
Summit Academy
The Summit Academy is tailored for high-achieving students seeking an academically rigorous and intellectually stimulating learning environment. With a focus on deep learning, inquiry, and goal setting, the Summit pathway challenges and supports students to reach their full potential.
Students are eligible to apply for one specialist academy in addition to the Summit Academy, allowing them to pursue both their academic and personal passions.
