Principal’s Perspective
What a wonderful start our students have made to Term 4 at both campuses in what is set to be another successful and final term for our entire school community. I have been particularly impressed with the optimism, positivity and genuine excitement our students and staff have for the term ahead; and some outstanding Term 3 student results gives me great inspiration for the success that continues to thrive here at Noosa – no matter what. There is so much to look forward to this term.
At the end of last term, our graduating class of 2025 celebrated their formal. This is a significant event for our students, their families and our school community and a testament to the incredible calibre of our young men and women of Noosa High. I want to thank all staff who made this happen and everyone who came along to celebrate our students who had an amazing evening. Soon, these students will have their final day of classes at Noosa High and following final exams, we will celebrate their graduation. I wish every student every success in their final exams and couldn’t be prouder of what these students have achieved.
Recently, the 2026 Senior School Leader process was carried out and I can share that our student body and the legacy of our current student leadership is in good hands. Next week we will acknowledge and thank you current senior leaders and handover the reigns to our 2026 Senior school leadership team.
Congratulations to the following students who I look forward working closely with over the next 12 months.
- School Captains – Oliver Haxton and Emily Nelson
- Vice-Captains – Madelyn Macqueen and Riley Sheather
- Interact President – Lucy McDonagh
- Interact Vice President – Blaze Ryan
- Student Council President – Romy Mandak

Term 4 is about finishing strong and this occurs through every day persistence in practices that build to culminate in larger successes. Every day active learning, respect and responsibility underpin this and I thank you all for your support in this. As a leadership team and school community over this term we will reflect, review and reset our strategic direction for 2026 to build on our successful first year of our 2024 – 2027 strategic plan. Our strategic plan can be accessed here: https://noosadistrictshs.eq.edu.au/supportandresources/formsanddocuments/documents/statistics/noosa-district-shs-2024-2027-strategic-plan.pdf
Term 4 is also about transitions, and we look forward to supporting all students in this – including our future students who will begin their exciting journey as Noosa High School students. All families are reminded to finalise enrolments for 2026.
Once again, we look forward to a wonderful term for our school as we continue to reach exceptional heights as a school community.
